Corpse Skin

Casting Time: 2 seconds
Mana Cost: 11
Effect: Inflicts necrosis upon the skin of the Necromancer or another target, making them more resistant to poison, cold and physical damage, but extremely vulnerable to fire. Duration in Seconds = (Caster's Spirit Speak - Target's Resist) ÷ 2.5 + 40

Curse Weapon
Words of Power: An Sanct Gra Char

Effect: Briefly enchant your weapon to gain the power of life drain. While enchanted, the weapon will heal its wielder with 50% of the damage it deals out. Duration in Seconds = Caster's Spirit Speak ÷ 7.5 + 1

Evil Omen

Casting Time: 1 second
Mana Cost: 11
Effect: Be it a strike from a sword or the sting of a spell, the next bad thing that happens to the receiver of this curse will be worse. The player affected by this spell:

  • will receive a +25% increase from the next source of damage.
  • will receive a +1 boost to the level of poison the next time they are poisoned
  • will only have 50% of their Resist Spells skill the next time they try to resist a spell.

    Casting Time: 4 seconds
    Mana Cost: 11
    Effect: Allows you to transform into a terrifying form that grants great physical strength, at the cost of your mind. No duration. Casting this spell again or casting another transformation spell dispels it. While under the effect of this spell, the caster receives:

  • +2 hp/sec
  • +25% melee damage increase
  • increased base hand damage
  • Lich Form

    Effect: Transforms the Necromancer into the form of a lich, the master of magic. No duration. Casting this spell again or casting another transformation spell dispels it. While under the influence of this spell, the caster receives:

  • +10% poison resist
  • +10% cold resist
  • +13 mana every 10 seconds
  • -5 Hitpoints every 10 seconds

    Effect: The receiver of this curse has difficulty thinking, making all abilities that require Mana more expensive. Duration in Seconds = (Caster's Spirit Speak - Target's Resist) ÷ 5 + 20

    Pain Spike
    Words of Power: In Sar
    Reagents: GD, PI
    Casting Time: 1 second
    Mana Cost: 5
    Effect: Brings a jolt of temporary pain down upon your enemy. Damage = ( Caster's Spirit Speak - Target's Resist ) ÷ 10 + 30. Damage is temporary and will wear off after 10 seconds.

    Poison Strike
    Words of Power: In Vas Nox
    Reagents: NC
    Casting Time: 2 seconds
    Mana Cost: 17
    Effect: Summons a cloud of poison to strike down your enemy. Also, affects a radius of 2 tiles around the target. Those within that radius will receive "splash" damage. Splash Damage = Unmodified Target Damage ÷ (Distance_In_Tiles + 1)

    Strangle
    Words of Power: In Bal Nox
    Reagents: NC, DB
    Casting Time: 2.5 seconds
    Mana Cost: 29
    Effect: Chokes an enemy with poison, doing more damage as their Stamina drops. The power of the effect is equal to the Caster's Spirit Speak skill divided by 10. The minimum power is 4. The power number determines the duration and base damage of the Strangle effect.
    Each point of power causes the Strangle effect to damage the target one time. The first round of damage is done after five seconds. Four seconds later, the second round hits. Each round after that comes one second more quickly than the last, until there is only 1 second between hits.
    Damage is calculated as follows: The range of damage is between power - 2 and power + 1. Then the damage is multiplied based on the victim's current and maximum Stamina values. The more the victim is fatigued, the more damage this spell deals. The damage is multiplied by the result of this formula: 3 - (Cur Stamina ÷ Max Stamina x 2. For example, suppose the base damage for a Strangle hit is 5. The target currently has 40 out of a maximum of 80 stamina. Final damage for that hit is: 5 x (3 - (40 ÷ 80 x 2) = 10.
    Summon Familiar

    Casting Time: 4 seconds
    Mana Cost: 17
    Effect: Summons a spirit wisp, dark wolf, death adder, vampire bat, or horde minion to your side, each with their own unique abilities and a special power granted to the caster.

    Vampiric Embrace
    Words of Power: Rel Xen An Sanct
    Reagents: BW, NC, PI
    Casting Time: 4 seconds
    Mana Cost: 23
    Effect: A powerful form that grants many strengths, but prevents the Necromancer from using garlic-based spells and potions. No duration. Casting this spell again or casting another transformation spell dispels it. While under the influence of this spell, the caster receives:

  • 20% life drain
  • -25% fire resist
  • +25% damage from silver weapons
  • damage from garlic (17-23 points of damage is dealt when Vampires cast spells that consume the garlic reagent.)
  • Vengeful Spirit
    Words of Power: Kal Xen Bal Beh
    Reagents: BW, GD, PI
    Casting Time: 8 seconds
    Mana Cost: 41
    Effect: Summons a powerful revenant to slay a chosen foe. Revenants are incredibly persistent and can track their quarry, even when hidden. A revenant requires 3 control slots. See Skills: Animal Taming: Pet Limit. Duration in Seconds = (Caster's Spirit Speak x 80) ÷ 120 + 10
    Wither
    Words of Power: Kal Vas An Flam
    Reagents: NC, GD, PI
    Casting Time: 1.5 seconds
    Mana Cost: 23
    Effect: Summons an evil, withering frost, damaging all nearby enemies especially those who are good. Affects a radius of 5 tiles around the caster.

    Wraith Form
    Words of Power: Rel Xen Um
    Reagents: NC, PI
    Casting Time: 4 seconds
    Mana Cost: 17
    Effect: Transforms the Necromancer into the form of a wraith, well-suited for resisting physical damage, but weak against magic. No duration. Casting this spell again or casting another transformation spell dispels it. Once in wraith-form, Necromancers can use the "Recall" spell, as long as the spell is in their spellbook and they have the appropriate reagents. This is true even if their Magery skill is at 0. While under the influence of the this spell, the caster receives:

  • +25% damage from silver weapons
  • +10% physical resist
  • -25% fire resist
  • -5% energy resist
  • -5% poison resist
  • -5% cold resist
  • the ability to leech mana
  • the ability to walk through people (non-blockable)

    Harm

    Ns, SS Single Use Affects a target within 10 paces of the caster. Cold damage

    Magic Trap Ga, SS, SA Single Use Places an explosive trap on a useable object that activates when object is used, for 10-50 points of direct damage.
    Magic Untrap BM, SA Single Use Deactivates magical trap on a single object.
    Protection Ga, Gi, SA Indefinite

    Players under the protection spell effect can no longer have their spells "disrupted" when hit.
    Players under the protection spell have decreased physical resistance stat value, a decreased "resisting spells" skill value by -35, and a slower casting speed modifier (technically, a negative "faster cast speed") of 2 points.
    The protection spell has an indefinite duration, becoming active when cast, and deactivated when re-cast.
    Reactive Armor, Protection, and Magic Reflection will stay oneven after logging out, even after dyinguntil you turn them off by casting them again.

    Poison

    Lightning MR, SA Single Use Damages the target with a bolt of lightning. This spell now deals its damage instantly upon targeting, rather then in the 1-second callback typical of ranged damage spells. Energy damage
    (30-34 damage at GM Magery, Eval, Inscription) Elemental Resistances reduce damage.
    Mana Drain BP, MR, SS Single Use This spell now temporarily removes an amount of mana from the target based upon a comparison between the caster's evaluate intelligence skill and the target's resisting spells skill. After the duration has expired, any lost mana is restored to the target up to (but not exceeding) the target's maximum mana capacity.

    Magic Reflection

    Ga, MR, SS Indefinite The magic reflection spell decreases the caster's physical resistance, while increasing the caster's elemental resistances.
    Physical decrease = 25 - (Inscription/20). Elemental resistance = +10

    The magic reflection spell has an indefinite duration, becoming active when cast, and deactivated when re-cast.

    Mind Blast BP, MR, Ns, SA Single Use

    This spell now deals an amount of cold damage based upon the caster's Magery and Intelligence values.
    (40-42 Damage at 100 Magery 100 Int) Elemental Resistances reduce damage.

    Paralyze Ga, MR, SS (Eval/10 - Resist/10) * 3 The target of this spell is frozen in place. This spell now gets its duration based upon a calculation that compares the caster's evaluate intelligence skill to the target's resisting spells skill.
    Poison Field BP, Ns, SS 40% Magery +3 (up to 51 sec.) The poison field spell will now use the same code the poison spell uses for determining what level of poison to apply to the target, without checking distances. Previously, the poison field spell always applied level 2 poison to the target.
    Summon Creature BM, MR, SS 4 * Magery (up to 480 sec.) A random animal is summoned to be your pet for a short amount of time.

    Invisibility

    BM, Ns 120% Magery (up to 144 sec.) The target becomes temporarily invisible.
    Mark BP, BM, MR Permanent

    Binds a rune to a specific location. The Recall spell can be used on the rune to teleport you to the location of binding.

    Mass Curse Ga, MR, Ns, SA 120% Magery (up to 144 sec.) Casts Curse on a target and decreases its strength, dexterity, and intelligence by a percentage (caster's magery/10+1). Affects all creatures within a two tile radius.
    (11%. at 100 magery) Resist scales down the potency.
    Paralyze Field BP, Gi, SS 33% Magery +3 (up to 42.6 sec.) Conjures a field of paralysis that affects targets like the Paralyze (5th Circle) spell.
    Reveal BM, SA Single Use Reveals the presence of any invisible creatures or players within the targeted tile.
    7th Circle Reagents Duration (seconds) Effect
    Chain Lightning BP, BM, MR, SA Single Use Damages nearby targets with a series of lightning bolts that hit for energy damage split between the targets.

    Gate Travel

    BP, MR,SA 30 seconds Only works on a Marked rune. Creates a portal to the location where the rune was Marked. The gate can be used by anyone while the spell is in effect.
    Mana Vampire BP, BM, MR, SS Single Use

    The mana vampire spell "takes" an amount of mana from the target and returns it to the caster by making a comparison between the caster's evaluate intelligence and the target's resisting spells skill. Will not drain more than the target has currently and will not put the caster over his maximum mana.
    Mana drained = Caster's Eval -Target's resist

    Mass Dispel BP, Ga, MR, SA Single Use Any summoned creature within an 8 tile radius is dispelled. Successful Resist causes the spell to have no effect
    Meteor Swarm BM, MR, SA, SS Single Use Damages nearby targets with meteors that hit for fire damage.
    (64-69 with GM Magery, Inscription, and Eval) Reduced by elemental resistances
    Polymorph BM, MR, SS Magery (up to 100 sec.) Changes the caster's appearance into the chosen form of a creature (caster's stats and skills do not change). Beware of becoming grey and being a potential target when polymorphed.
    8th Circle Reagents Duration (seconds) Effect
    Earthquake BM, Gi, MR, SA Single Use Damages nearby creatures and characters with a tremor for physical damage. The earthquake spell will now require the caster to have line of sight to the target.
    (1/3 of current hitpoints for both players and NPCs. Max and min damages for NPCs: 10 and 100) Elemental Resistances reduce damage.
    Energy Vortex BP, BM, MR, Ns 90 seconds Conjures a spinning mass of energy that attacks targets within a 6 tile radius and deals up to 26 points of damage per hit. Targets are chosen based on (Magery + Intelligence)/distance. Not Resistable
    Resurrection BM, Ga, Gi Permanent

    Resurrects a player's ghost. Cannot be used on NPCs or monsters.

    Summ. Air Elemental

    BM, MR, SS 4 * Magery (up to 480 sec.) An air elemental is summoned to serve the caster.
    Requires 2 pet control slots.
    Summ. Daemon BM, MR, SS, SA 4 * Magery (up to 480 sec.)

    A daemon is summoned to serve the caster. Results in a large karma loss for the caster.
    Requires 5 pet control slots.

    Summ. Earth Elemental BM, MR, SS 4 * Magery (up to 480 sec.) An earth elemental is summoned to serve the caster.
    Requires 2 pet control slots.
    Summ. Fire Elemental BM, MR, SS, SA 4 * Magery (up to 480 sec.) A fire elemental is summoned to serve the caster.
